Here we are in Philly right in the middle of downtown. The districts are split by historic, art, shopping, etc. Our senses are inflamed with excitement and entertainment. So much history and so little time. The thought of being here where over 200 years earlier our philosophy was established as to freedom for all and yet -- we as a nation can't agree to cover all with basic health care. Is that where we are today?
Had fun at this Old City Tavern, built in 1793 for lunch and had a great Washington Porter Beer plus great food. Today we took the Duck ride through town and onto the Delaware River. It was very informational and great to see the city from the waterway. We walked to Reading Transit Market and Shops where there's so many different thing to buy and eat -- as most market are. Tempted to eat everything in site, I decided to buy just a small bun filled with pecans and cream (a mini shoefly) sooo gooood I almost orgas...md with delight. so creamy and juicy.
